RB Community Church’s music ministry presents a concert in remembrance of the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion (June 6, 1944) and liberation of France. Repertoire includes Durufle’s masterwork “Requiem,,” Fauré’s stirring “Cantique de Jean Racine,” as well as contemporary composer Mack Wilberg’s “Let Peace then Still the Strife.” Members of the Chancel Choir will be performing these works in France over the summer.

The RB Community Church music ministry presents its annual Christmas Concert. This year, we celebrate the season with French carols and choral works for choir, orchestra and organ. The program includes Charpentier’s “Magnificat in G,” Berlioz’s “The Shepherd’s Farewell,” Bizet’s “Farandole,” various French carols, and a newer work by French-Canadian composer Marie-Claire Saindon for treble voices and string quartet, “Méditations de la Vierge Marie.” The audience is invited to join in a carol sing of season favorites.

The RB Community Church music ministry presents its annual Christmas Concert. This season, the program is anchored by Ralph Vaughan Williams’ “The First Nowell.” Written in 1958 to accompany a nativity play, this work presents a sequence of scenes and carols, including many beloved tunes beside some that may be new to the listener. Alongside the choirs, orchestra and organ, the audience can participate in a carol sing-a-long.

Performed by Grace Notes of RB Community Church.
