Adult Education at RB Community

Our programming for adults to learn and grow in Christ is led by Reverend John M. Scholte (john@rbcpc.org). John has over 20 years of ministry experience at churches all across the western United States, is an adjunct Professor at a local college, and owns his own consulting business related to church health. First and foremost, Pastor John is passionate about Christ, the Bible as the word of God, and helping people grow in their Christian faith. Contact him for information about any of the following opportunities.

COLLEGE OF THE BIBLE

The Mission of RB Community Church College of the Bible is to “equip believers for the work of ministry (Eph 4:12-14).” Our goal is to effectively train believers in the Word to both grow and effectively minister in His name. We provide college level classes, seminars, and conferences with clear presentations of God’s truth in the Scriptures, and how to apply Scripture in life and service. Pick up a guide at church for specific opportunities each semester.

LIFE GROUPS (small groups)

Life Groups are groups of 4 – 12 people meeting in homes to build relationships, learn truth, encourage others and feel cared for. These are safe place to share our faith, doubts, and concerns. The topics of discussion vary with each group.

THE COLLEGE OF MARRIAGE

This series of classes and seminars strengthen marriages and families though biblical truth and clinically relevant information. This team serves married and engaged couples wanting to enrich their marriages, who are coping with some challenges, or preparing for marriage.

MEN AND WOMEN'S MINISTRIES

To address the unique needs of men and women, we offer Bible studies, retreats, and fellowship opportunities.

Join Dr. Lauer each week as he teaches through the book of Ephesians. Ephesians has been called the Queen of the epistles, the grandest work of St. Paul. The writing is often lyrical, always deeply spiritual, yet eminently practical. We will study the book line by line in this course. Enlightenment and growth are Paul’s two foundations for exploring all aspects of the Christian faith and life. He discusses enlightened views of salvation, Christian leadership, the Church, and the Christian life. He offers a deeply moving prayer for growing into wholeness in Christ.
