The Salvation Army in Escondido sponsors a food distribution every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for families dealing with food insecurity. They also provide warm dinners to seniors living at the Salvation Army Silvercrest apartments in Escondido. Their outreach program to homeless in the area is extensive. Captain Amber Ohl provides worship services on Sundays, Bible study during the week, Sunday School, VBS, and summer camps for children.
