Week of Service

The Outreach Ministry is sponsoring a Week of Service for our congregants to participate in service projects around the community of their choosing. Additionally, there are a number of clean-up and fixer-up projects on the church campus that need attention.

Look around our neighborhood and see if there is something you or your family can do to help in the following ways:

• Help a neighbor with a yard project
• Walk around and pick up trash in your neighborhood
• Donate Blood at the Saber Springs Blood Bank location
• Offer to go shopping for someone that is shut-in
• Beach clean up

Community based service projects can be done on your own and in your timeframe.

Projects that need to be done at RB Community are as follows:

• Sand and paint handrails
• Sweep upper walkways, stairs to lower lot, and outside stairs to choir room
• Dust wall hangings in lower level
• Repair and paint the welcome counter in the courtyard
• Wash lower level windows
• Touchup painting in classrooms
• Trim and fertilize potted plants
• Organize contents of materials in cabinets in lower leevel rooms
• Wipe out cabinets that have been emptied in lower level rooms

If interested in working individually or as a couple on any of the projects at church please contact Elaine Johnson at 858-774-0822 to schedule work date/time and to learn more about the work needing to be done.

We will be limiting the number of people working at the church site each day in order to practice social distancing and help keep everyone safe.
