Making a Difference in Baja

Baja Presbyterian Missions has been helping small churches in Baja California by supporting building projects such as the ones recently completed at Mt. Sinai Presbyterian Church in Tijuana. The RB Community team of Brian & Leslee Albright, Richard Klusmeier, Bill Schaul, Ally Bokesch, Judy Sperling, and Elaine Johnson enjoyed an overnight at the resort-like Youth With A Mission (YWAM) facility in Tijuana.

After a hearty breakfast we were transported to the worksite where we split into two groups.  Some of us joined men from Mt. Sinai spending the day cutting and hanging boards for fence railings as the church sits atop a steep cliff. The rest of our team became the painting crew of two Sunday school rooms, the hallway, and part of the dining area in their Fellowship Center. We prayed, worked, and ate lunch together appreciating each other’s commitment in service to God.

Youth With A Mission (YWAM) took such good care of us by providing comfortable sleeping accommodations, yummy food, and across border transportation we’re going back.  We would love to have you join us!
