The primary focus of our Outreach Ministry is to provide the congregation with opportunities to serve our neighbors in need. I am blown away each month with the generosity I see at the drive thru events and with what is left in the white bin in the Welcome Center. During the month of May, we will be collecting the following items:
May 2 – grocery drive for 4 Community Care food pantry
May 16 – collecting clothing for active-duty military
The Outreach Ministry also attempts to sponsor opportunities for congregants to participate in Day of Service events. On the Saturday of Mother’s Day weekend mail carriers throughout San Diego County will be collecting groceries during their mail runs. RB Community is partnering with the PQ Post Office who is giving their collection to 4 Community Care food pantry. With this food drive, the pantry will be able to continue providing groceries to over 800 families within the Poway Unified boundaries throughout the summer.
Day of Service – May 9 sorting groceries - Lower Fireside
Another way that we can help our neighbors in need is by packing sack lunches for Interfaith Community Services. If you are looking for an easy service project for your family to do this summer … pack lunches. Contact Elaine@rbcpc.org for packing details. Thank you to the Men’s Ministry for sponsoring their first lunch packing event.

It takes a village to make all of this happen and I am so blessed to be part of the RB Community village that demonstrates the love of Jesus to our neighbors.
