God, you are my refuge. God is our stronghold. When you are not doing well, go to God. In Psalm 3, it says, “But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.” (As I was writing this, I felt a special moment of calmness.)
David shifted his gaze from the many who opposed him to the ONE who protects him. David credits God with restoring his dignity and hope. The level of anxiety and uncertainty is high in the world right now. The good news is that we have both a God whom we can seek and Psalms with words we can pray when our hearts quiver. Those who trust in God benefit. We need to leave the destination of enemies in God’s hands.
If you need prayer to get through tough times, seek out the church’s prayer team to help you. They can pray with you after the services, and they can take your prayers into the week to pray with others. You can also contact them at: prayer@rbcommunity.org
God is there for us when we pray. He can lift us up.
