What’s Happening in Our Family and Children’s Ministries
We are so grateful for how God is at work across all generations in our church family! From midweek fellowship to weekend gatherings, here's what we are celebrating, anticipating, and praying for in our ministry programs.
High School Ministry
Celebrations
- "Welcome Home" Sermon Series: Our current series meets high schoolers in their daily lives and reminds them they are seen, valued, and made in God’s image.
- Girls: A special thank you to Shellie for her faithful discipleship with our female students. She will be hosting a girls' event this November!
- Intergenerational Connections: After a great midweek game night, we are excited to team up with our church's Tabletop Board Games fellowship group in January to co-host a joint gathering that builds meaningful connections across generations through shared fun.
What’s Coming Up
- Synchronized Teaching: High school teaching now mirrors the main Sunday sermon series with age-appropriate lessons on the same scriptures and topics, helping families stay connected around the same messages each week.
- Confirmation 2027: We're preparing for our next Confirmation class to help students articulate and take ownership of their personal faith.
Middle School Ministry
Celebrations
- Serving Others: Our middle schoolers stepped up in a big way at our annual Preschool Carnival! Their joyful service modeled Christ's heart to young families across our surrounding community.
- Family Worship Nights: Our monthly Family Worship Nights continue to grow, with 60–75 students and adults worshipping side by side on average.
What’s Coming Up
- Upcoming Events: We look forward to serving at the annual Trunk or Treat event, hosting a Guys Veterans Day Event, and hosting a Girls Night.
- Tabletop Game Night: In January, middle schoolers will join our church's Tabletop Board Games group for a fun evening of mentorship and community.
Children's Ministry
Celebrations
- Midweek & Fun Friday Growth: Our Fun Friday program and Wednesday night gatherings continue to flourish, welcoming new families from both our church and the local neighborhood.
What’s Coming Up
- Trunk or Treat (October 25): Mark your calendars for our annual Trunk or Treat outreach! We'll welcome local families with treat bags, warm drinks, and information on how to get plugged into our church community.
Young Adult Ministry
Celebrations
- Faithful Community: Our young adults continue building strong fellowship and disciple-making relationships, watching The Chosen together while staying closely connected with local members and students away at college.
Ways to Connect & Pray With Us
As our programs expand, we invite our church community to partner with us in prayer and service:
- Middle & High School Worship Integration: Middle and high school students start Sunday mornings worshipping in the main sanctuary alongside the broader church before heading to their youth teaching. Pray with us that this time builds a lifelong foundation for worshipping as one church body.
- Volunteer Opportunities with Children: Because our Fun Friday program is so popular, we are looking for once-a-month volunteers and one-on-one buddies to support children with special needs during Sunday School and Fun Friday events.
- Young Adult Teaching Volunteers: We are prayerfully seeking mature believers who are willing to step in and teach or mentor our young adults once a month.
