The Officer Nominating Committee (ONC) is seeking nominations for church members to serve as Deacons and Elders for a three-year term beginning in January 2027. God calls His people to serve in ways that build up His church and care for the congregation. We encourage you to prayerfully consider whether God may be calling you—or someone you know—to serve. Self-nominations and nominations of others are both welcome.
Deacons are spiritual leaders with the gift of compassion. They minister to the church and surrounding community by providing both physical and spiritual care for those in need. Their ministries include visitation, flower delivery, communion preparation, grief support, and local mission outreach.
Elders serve on Session, the governing body of the church, helping discern God's direction for the congregation and supporting the staff as they carry out the church's ministries. They also lead key committees such as Missions, Administration/Finance, and Human Relations, serve communion, and act as liaisons to other church ministries.
Deacons and Elders are nominated and elected by the congregation. Nominations officially open on Sunday, June 28, 2026. Nomination forms are available online at rbcommunity.org/nominate or may be picked up at the church office. Completed forms may be emailed to onc@rbcommunity.org or returned to the church office in a sealed envelope marked "ATTN: Nominating Committee" and placed in the designated Deacon/Elder Nomination Box.
