In November RB Community donated jeans and clothing for veterans served by Veterans Village of San Diego. We received this letter in response:
Dear Rancho Bernardo Community Presbyterian Church,
Thank you for your thoughtful donation of new and gently used jeans, work pants, new socks, briefs, t-shirts, and miscellaneous clothing to Veterans Village of San Diego (VVSD) on 11/15/2021. Your support means so much to the veterans we serve. We are able to accomplish so much more for America's heroes with your investment in our work and your encouraging support.
Your gift helps veterans who graduated from other VVSD programs maintain their mental health and remain self-sufficient. In addition, your investment helps alleviate and prevent veterans from homelessness. Working together we are building a robust, data-driven system that makes veteran homelessness rare and brief.
Because of you we are that much closer to our purpose of leaving no one behind. In addition, veterans who were once anonymous to their neighbors now have homes and are known by their name again.
