Reflection for may 24

The sermon last week was about renewal offered by God to us. The example was to think about knee and hip replacements that give us a new start. God offers us a “new soul” and transforms our hearts to be like His. We can be with Him forever. Christ takes us out of our body. He cleanses and renews us to continue to walk through life with him. Sometimes we keep doing bad stuff that owns us and ruins us. God doesn’t want stuff that separates us from Him. He desires closeness and our well-being. Everyone has worth. This inspires us to care for each other, be honest, and recognize the value God has placed in each person. We can see what life God has created for us. We can recognize the worth God created in each person. I liked one phrase in the song “When I Fall” that said “You catch me when I fall. He is there for us.” This beautifully illustrates how God is always there to support us through anything we face. Experiencing His loving presence empowers us to share that love and those experiences with others. I love hearing other people’s stories since it inspires me and helps me take another step out there. God is constantly there for us and will support us! If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If it is giving, give generously. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift for showing kindness to others, do it gladly. Romans 12:8 Reflections from Deborah Kelly.
