This past Friday, over 60 children, youth, and their families gathered together to enjoy the Golden Globe-winning children's movie 'Hotel Transylvania.'
With a 6-foot by 10-foot screen set up on the church lawn down by the baseball field, families could spread out and keep socially distanced while still feeling the sense of community Family Ministries at RB Community is striving to foster amidst a season of separation and isolation.
Not being able to trick or treat and connect with their neighbors, many young families had a sense of loss going into the weekend. Still, this event was able to bring a little piece of joy and normalcy into one of the times of the year families get to see their kids at their cutest while also making families feel safe and cared for by the church. This event was a win-win for all.
